A good close by hotel is American Inn, and a lake close by is Mud Lakes. Roach Lake is typically a rather dried out site; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at       Sunset Motel and RV Park, and Roach Lake is not the only place close by, Kleman Lake is a close by lake. At Roach Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's.
