     Potter Lake is pretty dehydrated generally; May is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January. These mountains rock, just explore all the amusing stuff to do in the Sand Hills. Not far from Potter Lake, you'll hit upon Anderson Lake which is a picturesque lake. Lakes? Sure, McCarty Lake is close at hand.
High temperatures at Potter Lake throughout the summer months are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 50's. During the wintertime
 
   highs are generally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Potter Lake are in the 0's. This lake is located in the wonderful Sand Hills.
