If you came for an overnight stay Walnut Creek Lake and Recreation Area is a nice location to camp; let's not forget Boxelder Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon while here. During the summer at Papillion Creek Reservoir D-38 temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's,       and nighttime lows all through the wintertime for Papillion Creek Reservoir D-38 tend to be in the 10's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail is a fine site in close proximity to Papillion Creek Reservoir D-38, and Comfort Inn Omaha is a great location to get some rest. Papillion Creek Reservoir D-38 is right by the E T Mahoney Trails, and folks from Omaha-Council Bluffs love to come here. Hiking along the Desoto Bend Trail is glorious fun, and Pacific Springs Golf Club is a good golf course close by. The Copper Creek Connector Trail offers hiking at its best; Wiebe Dam is a beautiful place.
