During the months of summer at Nixon Reservoir temperatures are mostly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 20's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Nixon Reservoir tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Blair; why not camp at Glenn Cunningham Lake Campground while you're       here at Nixon Reservoir. The annual precipitation here at Nixon Reservoir is about average; June is the month that gets the most rain while January is frequently the driest month. River Wilds Golf Club is a magnificent golf course nearby, and there's magnificent hiking along the Copper Creek Connector Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Nixon Reservoir in fact is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. Don't leave Nixon Reservoir without first going                  for a hike along the Boyer Chute Trails, and there's some attention-grabbing stuff to spot at Nixon Dam close to Nixon Reservoir. After a long day outdoors SUPER 8 MOTEL - BLAIR is a great place to spend a night or two, and swing by Hinz Fork it's a tremendous site to explore. Camping is available at Wilson Island State Park, and if you're visiting from Omaha-Council Bluffs, you won't be the only one.
