The cheerful people of Omaha-Council Bluffs like to hang out close by, and Nelson Reservoir is not the only location nearby, Nelson South Reservoir is a nearby lake. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Boyer Chute Trails. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Nelson Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Wilson Island State Park. A nice close by hotel is La Quinta Omaha, obviously you could also       have a look at Snyder Reservoir if you're here; it's not far at all. Don't leave Nelson Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Copper Creek Connector Trail; some nearby water includes Turkey Creek. If you go for the outdoors, you'll like Nelson Reservoir. Going for a hike on the Desoto Bend Trail is always a brilliant adventure. There's so much to do here at Nelson Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Glenn Cunningham Lake Campground                  is a magnificent spot for that. All through the warm months at Nelson Reservoir highs are frequently in the 80's, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, mostly in the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Nelson Reservoir are in the 10's. Nelson Reservoir is a good spot of common precipitation; during June this area sees the most rain; the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail is recommended.
