This is a magnificent vicinity for people who like lakes. Menze Reservoir is a lake close by, and if you came for an overnight stay Reverie is a good place to camp. This lake is so wonderful. Why not pop by Morgan Dam while you're here, and you'll probably meet some folks from Lexington here. Camping is available at Shady Rest Camp Motel Campground. Morgan Reservoir is pretty dried out typically; the month with most of the rain is June, and January is when it's the driest. After a long day outdoors Super 8 Lexington is a brilliant site to spend a night or two, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Essmeger Reservoir. | |
