High temperatures at Monter Reservoir during the summer are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. Highs all through the winter are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Monter Reservoir dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. A pleasant location to camp here at Monter Reservoir is Reverie, and this is a popular site for people from Lexington. Monter Reservoir is nice enough to spend more than       a day at, Shady Rest Camp Motel Campground is a nice local campground; you don’t have to go far from Monter Reservoir to make out the water at Monter Dam. Monter Reservoir is pretty dehydrated frequently; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful.
