There are other locations here than Merritt Reservoir, for example Merritt Reservoir; camping is available at Powder Horn Area Campground. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Snake River in the vicinity of Merritt Reservoir, and if you came for an overnight stay Merritt Reservoir Main Area Campground is a fine place to       camp. High temperatures at Merritt Reservoir through the summer months are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's; overnight lows throughout the winter for Merritt Reservoir tend to be in the 0's. Merritt Reservoir is pretty arid mostly; the month with most of the rain is June, and the driest month of the year is January.
