The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 90's to McConaughy Lake. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. During the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at McConaughy Lake. You'll need more than a day to look at everything McConaughy Lake has to offer, you can camp at Caddi Shack Campground, and you're perhaps addicted to lakes, Lake McConaughy is one       of those nearby. The Lake Ogallala Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you need a site to stay Kingsley Lodge is a tremendous choice. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Spillway Bay Campground, and Martin Bay is not far at all. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at McConaughy Lake. Around McConaughy Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain while February is                  generally the driest month.
