This lake is one of the great places here in the Sand Hills. Throughout the long summer days highs here at McCarty Lake reach the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's; throughout the dark hours in the winter at McCarty Lake temperatures dip to the 0's.
