McAlister Lake gets very little precipitation; June is when you get the most rain here, and January on the other hand is the driest. At McAlister Lake through the summer months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows during the wintertime for McAlister Lake tend to be in the 0's. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool       stuff in the Sand Hills. Do visit Auker Lake close to McAlister Lake, it's a scenic lake, and since you're here why not go to Big Hill Valley. A great nearby hotel is Western Sands Motel, and Big Hill Valley is a tremendous place here at McAlister Lake. The Sand Hills scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful.
