At Mar Lake through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. During the winter highs are mostly in the 30's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Mar Lake temperatures descend to the 0's. A visit to Kirkpatrick Valley rejuvenates the spirit, and you'll stumble on a pretty lake called Alkali Lake. Man, is there a lot of fun stuff to do in the Sand Hills. Best Western Stagecoach

| | Inn is a great location to get some rest; do explore Groves Lake, it's a gorgeous lake. This lake is so wonderful. Mar Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sand Hills. Around Mar Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; most of the rain falls through May, and January is when it's the driest.
