Not far from Long Creek Reservoir, you'll find Nixon Reservoir which is a wonderful lake, and Glenn Cunningham Lake Campground is a glorious campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Henricksen Reservoir is close at hand; if you're looking for a nice trip, Lewis & Clark National Historic       Trail is quite near. Fish Creek flows through this neighborhood; the Desoto Bend Trail offers hiking at its best. For the period of the summer highs here at Long Creek Reservoir reach the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's usually in the 60's. For the period of the wintertime highs are commonly in the 20's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Long Creek Reservoir dip into the 0's. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Blair,                  and Long Creek Reservoir is not far at all from Omaha-Council Bluffs.
