The amount of rainfall that falls at Lonergan Reservoir is close to the national average; June is the month that gets the most rain; the driest month is January. This lake is so wonderful. A golf course in close proximity to Lonergan Reservoir is Eagle Run Golf Course; a splendid nearby hotel is       La Quinta Inn Omaha Northwest. Do explore Snyder Reservoir near Lonergan Reservoir, it's a pretty lake, and lots of folks from Omaha-Council Bluffs come here. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up. There's good hiking along the Copper Creek Connector Trail, and Lonergan Dam is a pretty place, absolutely worth a visit. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Lonergan Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Desoto Bend Trail. Good hiking                  is available along the Boyer Chute Trails; if you came for an overnight stay NP Dodge Park Campground is a brilliant spot to camp. For the period of the summer months, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Lonergan Reservoir, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. All through the winter the highs are frequently in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Lonergan Reservoir are in the 10's.
