Lonergan Dam is stunning and it's close to Lonergan Reservoir, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Boyer Chute Trails. Near Lonergan Reservoir you find the Copper Creek Connector Trail which is a good hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Desoto Bend Trail is a good hiking trail close to Lonergan Reservoir, and Glenn Cunningham Lake Campground is a wonderful       campground here. A visit to Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail is recommended; if you need a place to stay La Quinta Omaha is a good choice. Whohoo, so many cool things in one place! Lonergan Reservoir rocks! There are plenty of folks from Omaha-Council Bluffs here at Lonergan Reservoir, and enjoy a round of golf at Eagle Run Golf Course. Throughout the months of summer highs here at Lonergan Reservoir get into the 80's. For the period of the dark hours                  of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Lonergan Reservoir dip into the 10's.
