Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not take a look at Lake McConaughy near Lake McConaughy, and Arthur Bay is not far at all. There are other locations here than Lake McConaughy, for example McConaughy Lake, and Holiday Inn Express Ogallala, Ne is a fine spot to get some rest. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff right next door to Lake McConaughy. Summer at Lake McConaughy       arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Lake McConaughy dip into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Arthur Bay Campground since you're here at Lake McConaughy; there are great locations to discover along the Lake Ogallala Trail. Lake McConaughy gets very little rainfall; May                  is the month that gets the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
