There is a great hiking trail close to Kolar Reservoir called the Dannebrog Trails. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Kolar Reservoir. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Kolar Reservoir. If you came to camp Spalding City Park Campground is a tremendous spot to do that,       and since you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Grand Island. This lake is so wonderful. Kolar Reservoir is commonly a rather waterless place; through June this area sees the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month.
