After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express MCCOOK (US 6/34 & HWY 83) is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and Hoyt Dam has glorious water scenery. Days Inn McCook is a great place to get some rest. For the period of the summertime months here at Hoyt Reservoir, high temperatures regularly reach the 90's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Hoyt Reservoir.

This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Hoyt Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Lil Brave RV Park is a pleasant place for that, and as expected, this is a great region for people who like lakes, Kugler Reservoir is a lake close by.
