After a long day outdoors Twin Oaks Motel is a fine site to spend a night or two, and not far from Hoyt Reservoir you'll come across Harms-Skalka Reservoir which is a pretty lake. From a rainfall point of view Hoyt Reservoir is a rather normal place; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain; January meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Hoyt Reservoir that you       need to camp here for a while, Harbine Park Campground is a glorious location for that; Ox Bow Motel is a wonderful spot to get some rest. Hoyt Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Lincoln Park Campground is a good local campground, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Buffalo Creek. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Hoyt Reservoir. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Hoyt Dam; if you're                  going to from Hastings, you won't be the only one.
