Hanneman Reservoir is pretty arid usually; June is the wettest month with most rain while January is typically the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Hanneman Dam is lovely and it's close to Hanneman Reservoir, and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Ashfall Trail. Why not camp at Bruce Park Campground since you're here at Hanneman Reservoir, and a tremendous       nearby hotel is O'Neill Super 8 Motel. Camping is available at Wildwood Acres Campground, and there is a perfect hiking trail nearby called the Niobrara Trails. Summertime highs at Hanneman Reservoir mostly tend to be in the 80's, and the nighttime is fairly chillier of course, usually in the 60's.
