Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Green Lake fall into the 0's. There's whitewater on Snake River for all you adrenaline people, and Green Lake is a delightful place to camp, Snake River Area Campground is a delightful place. A tour to Niobrara       National Scenic River is recommended; you can stay the night at Steer Creek Campground. At Green Lake you don’t see much precipitation; during the month of June you get the most rain around here; the driest month of the year is January.
