Through the summertime months highs here at Gimlet Lake reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Gimlet Lake tend to be in the 0's. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Sand Hills. Stay the night at Hamburger Barn, of course you could       also go to Little Hackberry Lake while you're here; it's not far at all. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Gimlet Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Dougs Texaco Campground is a brilliant site for that. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn Alliance, and Gimlet Lake is not the only location close by, Mallard Arm is a close by lake.
