Why not camp at Scenic Park Campground while you're here at Gateway Lake, and Crystal Lake is a splendid lake nearby. Throughout the months of summer here at Gateway Lake, high temperatures generally reach the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Gateway Lake dipping down into the 0's throughout       winter nights. For you golfers we recommend nearby South Ridge Golf Club & Dome. Econo Lodge Inn & Suites is a great location to get some rest, and there are plenty of folks from Sioux City here at Gateway Lake. Gateway Lake gets a normal amount of rainfall; June is the wettest month with most rain, and January on the other hand is the driest.
