This lake is so wonderful. Camping at North Shore Campground is always a splendid experience, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Lake Ogallala Trail. Summertime highs at Frye Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's, and the nighttime is rather cooler of course, usually in the 50's. All through the winter the highs are usually in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures       at Frye Lake dip into the 0's. All the outdoors exciting things in the Sand Hills will keep you coming back again and again. You're probably interested in lakes, Haythorn Lake is one of those close by, and a pleasant journey to Haythorn Valley is a fine way to spend an afternoon.
