    Go to Friesen Reservoir if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful close by hotel is Holiday Inn York-I80, Ne; a delightful place to camp here at Friesen Reservoir is Prairie Oasis RV Park. There are other places here than Friesen Reservoir, for example Friesen Reservoir, and camping at Wayferer II Motor Inn Campground is always a fine experience. The Camelot Inn York is a magnificent site to get some rest, and not far from Friesen  
   Reservoir you'll hit upon Bergen Reservoir which is a picturesque lake.
Through the long summer days, highs usually are in the 80's at Friesen Reservoir. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Friesen Reservoir. From a rain point of view Friesen Reservoir is a reasonably typical place; June is when you get the most rain here; the driest of the months is January. Friesen Dam is a place that is right next door to Friesen Reservoir.

...wned the ground it looked a lot different; there was a nice sized and deep pond, but it was pushed in, the dyke systems held deeper water in the marsh and ditches, but the majority of dykes have been leveled, native grasses, shrubs and trees were allowed to grow, however the trees have been cut down and the grasses are now over pastured. Times change I know, however my grandparents made a living off of this ground, raising row crops, cattle and hogs; even then with their lively-hoods on the line the habit was allowed to flurish, but now the ground is supposed to be for wildlife reproduction and habitat, however the land seems to be in worse shape than when my grandparents had it. It should be noted that my grandparents, although respectful conservators of the ground, were not eco-freaks, nor great outdoorsmen. They did however enjoy cathcing catfish out of the ponds, catching bullheads from the ditches, shooting ducks, geese and pheasants for a special meal.
