Why not take a refreshing hike along the Pine Ridge Trail, and a pleasant place to camp here at Fox Reservoir is Roberts Trailhead Campground. There's good hiking along the Roberts Trail, and since you're here, you could go to Dead Horse Creek. If only every site had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great world it would be. You could also take a look at Schmacker Reservoir if you're here at Fox Reservoir; it's       close by, and a tremendous close by hotel is Best Western West Hills Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Motel - Chadron is a brilliant site to get some rest, and why not camp at Spotted Tail Campground since you're here at Fox Reservoir. The Rock Butte Loop offers hiking at its best, and why not visit Fox Dam if you're here. Fox Reservoir is a location that is reasonably arid mostly; the month with most of the rain is May, and January on the other hand                  is the driest. For the duration of the summertime months here at Fox Reservoir, high temperatures regularly reach the 90's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's.
