It is very arid here at Ell Lake generally; the wettest month of the year is regularly May, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is January. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Berry Bridge Creek is so much fun, and of course, this is a great neighborhood for folks who like lakes, Smith Lake is       a lake in the neighborhood. Ell Lake is a wonderful location to visit for more than one day, Merritt Trading Post Resort is a wonderful location to camp nearby, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Valentine NE is a great place to spend a night or two. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to nearby Rogers Lake, and Fishberry Campgrounds is a nice campground nearby. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! Throughout the warmest time of the year at Ell Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's with night lows in the 60's.
