If you haven’t been to Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail, you ought to schedule some time for it while you're here, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Carter Lake/Eppley Arpt. is a wonderful choice. People from Omaha-Council Bluffs love to come to Carter Lake; if you've had enough of Carter Lake, Hanthorn Lake is close by. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Boyer Chute Trails, and La Quinta Inn and Suites Omaha Airport Carter Lake

Shoreline Golf Course is around here. A common amount of rain falls here at Carter Lake; May is the wettest month with most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. High temperatures at Carter Lake during the warmest
time of the year are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Carter Lake.
