Carter Lake is a lake worth visiting. Carter Lake is a good location of typical rain; May is when you get the most rain here, and January meanwhile is the driest month. At Carter Lake through the summertime highs are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. a hike along the Copper Creek Connector Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You need to explore Council Bend if you're here at Carter Lake, and close by you find Sandpiper Cove.
Garden Valley Courts is a perfect campground nearby;
there are plenty of folks from Omaha-Council Bluffs here. Dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Carter Lake/Eppley Arpt., and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Boyer Chute Trails.
If you need a spot
to stay La Quinta Inn & Suites Carter Lake is a good choice; a spree to Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail is worthwhile.
