Beautiful Carter Lake has much to offer visitors. At Carter Lake throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Carter Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The Copper Creek Connector Trail is a delightful hiking trail next to Carter Lake; Shoreline Golf Course is a golf course close by. The amount of rain that falls at Carter Lake is close

If the weather is nice here at Carter Lake, you can go for a hike along the Boyer Chute Trails, and while you're here at Carter Lake, checking out Council Bend is a must. Be careful coming to Carter Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again.
You are right next door to Sandpiper Cove since you're here at Carter Lake, and at Carter Lake you always meet someone from Omaha-Council Bluffs. Do pay a visit to Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail if you're here at Carter Lake;
after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Carter Lake/Eppley Arpt. is a great site to spend a night or two. Dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn & Suites Carter Lake, and a nice place to camp here at Carter Lake is Garden Valley Courts.
