From a rain point of view Bowling Lake is a pretty common place; most of the rain falls through May while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Bowling Lake is right by the Wilderness Park Trails; camping is available at State Fair Park Campground. A brilliant nearby hotel is Sleep Inn Lincoln, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Pioneer Park       Trails. This lake is so wonderful. At Bowling Lake you always meet someone from Lincoln, and Flader Dam has perfect water scenery. Why not go to close by Elk Creek since you're here at Bowling Lake, and a great place to camp here at Bowling Lake is Camp-a-way. Summertime highs at Bowling Lake generally tend to be in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and overnight lows at Bowling                  Lake all through the winter generally sink into the 10's.
