Not much precipitation falls here at Boardgate Reservoir; during May this area sees the most rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. If time allows, Agate Fossil Beds National Monument is a national park worth visiting, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Boots and Saddle Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Toadstool Campground is always a brilliant experience, and the       White River Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. You'll discover a stunning lake called Dodd-McDowell Reservoir near Boardgate Reservoir, and a pretty lake like Dunlap Reservoir is a good location to visit. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Boardgate Reservoir. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop at Dunlap Dam; there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Trooper Trail. During the warm days of                  summer highs here at Boardgate Reservoir get into the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's.
