A lovely lake like Gus Lake next to Big Lake is a great place to check out, and you can stay the night at Merritt Trading Post Resort. This lake is so wonderful. Do visit Tate Lake in the vicinity of Big Lake, it's a gorgeous lake, and swamps like Vrender Swamp are fun to stop at. Trade Winds Lodge is a splendid spot to get some rest, and Fishberry Campgrounds is a nice campground nearby. Big Lake is a location that is relatively dry frequently; through

| | the month of July you get the most rain around here; January meanwhile is the driest month. At Big Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Big Lake plunge into the 10's. | |
