It is very dried out here at Bartz Reservoir mostly; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest month of the year is January. For the period of the summer months highs here at Bartz Reservoir reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's with temperatures at Bartz Reservoir dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.       But wait, there's more to do near Bartz Reservoir. There are plenty of people from Yankton here at Bartz Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at South Shore Campground; after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Yankton, Sd is a glorious place to spend a night or two. Bartz Dam has pleasant water scenery and it's in close proximity to Bartz Reservoir, and a scenic lake like Steffan Reservoir is a tremendous place to                  go to. Missouri National River & Recreation Area is one of the destinations in close proximity to Bartz Reservoir that are magnificent to go to, and Yankton - Days Inn is a nice place to get some rest.
