You don’t have to go far from Andrews Reservoir to make out the water at Andrews Dam, and camping at Gilbert-Baker Campground is always a glorious experience. If you want a great time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Andrews Reservoir. There's wonderful hiking along the Fort Robinson Trail, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Hot Springs is a wonderful place to spend a night       or two. This lake is so wonderful. The Fort Laramie to Fort Robinson Trail offers hiking at its best, and a stunning lake like Crystal Lake Reservoir is a glorious place to go to. Andrews Reservoir is a location that is relatively dried out frequently; May is the month that gets the most rain while January is usually the driest month. During the warm days of summer at Andrews Reservoir temperatures are commonly in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. All through                  the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's while Andrews Reservoir night low temperatures throughout the wintertime are in the 0's. East Hat Creek is a splendid site to visit, and if you have the time, Agate Fossil Beds National Monument is a national park worth going to.
