Custom Search     Nelson Lake     Nelson Lake is a warm-water lake (80-100 in the summer months) due in part to its association with the Minnkota-Milton Young Power Plant. The lake offers a pristine countryside backdrop with primitive accommodations for camping or building your campfire. There are fish living in the water, mostly panfish and large & small-mouth bass. The state record largemouth bass was caught in Nelson Lake. Nelson Lake is the official home of the annual SausageFest men's     weekend. SausageFest is a gathering of good friends, food, fun, and refreshments. July 2008 will mark the 6th anniversary of the all-male nurse getaway.
