Swamps don’t sound that magnificent but Chiles Slough next to Kirkland Lake is pretty magnificent, and Kirkland Lake is a nice site to visit for more than one day, Country Store is a nice site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Kirkland Lake get into the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 10's while the cold winter nights at Kirkland Lake are in the-10's.
