Youngs Pond is a nice lake to visit. At Youngs Pond during the months of summer highs are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's while Youngs Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 20's. You can run the rapids of Cape Fear close to Youngs Pond, and Youngs Pond is a magnificent site to visit for more than one day, Fayetteville Koa is a magnificent site

This lake is so wonderful. Little River is a great whitewater spot right next door to Youngs Pond, and hiking along the Fish Camp Trail is good fun. Youngs Pond
is a wet place that gets a great deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is July; the driest of the months is November. A good nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Spring Lake-Ft. Bragg/Pope Afb, and you're sure to run into some nice folks from Dunn here.
