It's always fun to stop by Youngs Lake. Youngs Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest month is December. Dry warm beds await you at Eden Days Inn. There's so much to do here at Youngs Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Dan River Campground is a nice place for that, and there are some fine whitewater spots on North Mayo. | | North Fork offers some great whitewater, and Youngs Lake is not far at all from Martinsville. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Youngs Lake. If you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Eden is a perfect choice, and Ponderosa Golf Club is a brilliant golf course nearby. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Dumaines Lake; Youngs Lake Dam is a scenic place. Through the summer at Youngs Lake highs are regularly in the 80's, | |

and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Youngs Lake. You could also stop at Tuttles Lake since you're here at Youngs Lake; it's nearby; if you came to camp Indian Heritage RV Park is a delightful site to do that.

 | 19 miles away Hwy 772 access as been roped off with No-Trespassing signs. This access is used a lot during the summer months, but evidently it is private property or someone is confused.
Thought I'd let you know this since it's only a few miles from my house. That's a nice place to get in the river, but evidently somebody don't like the general public to use it. ... |
