Sleep Inn & Suites is a good place to get some rest, and not far from Young Lake you acquire some great water scenery at NC Noname Eighty-One Dam. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Young Lake with night lows in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Young Lake. Lazy Acres is a glorious local campground, and you can go for a hike on the Campbell Creek Loop. You just can't envision the

| | amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area in close proximity to Young Lake has to offer. Dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Spring Lake Ft Bragg, and there are good locations to explore along the American Beech Trail.

for a hike along the Fish Camp Trail; if you get bored of Young Lake you could also go to close by Long Valley Farm Lake.
Tank Creek is a great spot to visit; Young Lake is a good location to visit for more than one day, Fayetteville
Koa is a good location to camp nearby. Young Lake is a quite wet place typically with a large amount of rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is November. This lake is so wonderful.
Cape Fear has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby; McFayden Pond is a nearby lake that you could take a look at.

 | Smith lake is a nice place to camp, bike ride and swim. I have 3 young children and they had a BLAST! We plan on going again very soon. Bathrooms were clean and out of some of the campsites I've been to this is the one I like....Nice area for hiking, running, mt biking. Also nice beach area for the summer.... |
