All the outdoors cool things in the vicinity of Woodfin Reservoir will keep you coming back repeatedly. You'll meet a lot of folks from Asheville here, and the Bald Mountain Trail is a tremendous hiking trail nearby. All through the warm days of summer at Woodfin Reservoir highs are generally in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Throughout the winter the highs       are regularly in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Woodfin Reservoir. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hit the slopes at Ski Beech in close proximity; if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Asheville-Biltmore East@Blueri is a splendid choice. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Having a good time at Woodfin Reservoir is painless. If you come at the right time                  of year, Swannanoa River offers some delightful whitewater, and there are some delightful whitewater spots on French Broad River. Dry warm beds await you at Asheville/North Carolina Days Inn, and Wolf Laurel is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. Having a nice time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is uncomplicated. Eller Cove is a tremendous site to spend some time at, and the top of Alexander Knob is easily seen from Woodfin Reservoir. There's so much to do here at Woodfin Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Asheville East KOA is a pleasant site for that, and for you golfers we recommend close by Reems Creek Golf Club. This lake is so wonderful. You'll stumble on a pretty lake called Beetree Reservoir near Woodfin Reservoir, and Woodfin Reservoir is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Miles Motors Campground is a fine local campground. Very pleasant water scenery is available at Woodfin Reservoir Dam near Woodfin Reservoir, and there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Side Hill Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Ridge Mountains. Woodfin Reservoir sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls during July, and the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful.
