Greensboro-High Point Marriott Airport is a perfect spot to get some rest, and if you're here, you could also visit charming Hillside Lake. Summertime highs at Wood Lake usually tend to be in the 80's, and the overnight is slightly chillier of course, regularly in the 60's. lake that you could take a look at. The high level of precipitation makes Wood Lake a rather wet place; most of the rain falls through July while February is ordinarily the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. A splendid place
for whitewater paddling near Wood Lake is Dan River. There's so much to do here at Wood Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Oak Hollow Campground is a nice place for that.

Hwy 772 access as been roped off with No-Trespassing signs. This access is used a lot during the summer months, but evidently it is private property or someone is confused.
