Wood Lake is a nice lake to visit. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Great Smoky Mountains. Why not stop at Wood Lake Dam since you're here, and nice hiking is available along the Sugar Cove Trail. And if that's not sufficient, there's loads more to do near Wood Lake. Dry warm beds await you at Country Hearth Inn Andrews, and Wood Lake is a tremendous place to camp, Horse Cove Campground is a tremendous place. This lake is so wonderful. Camping

| | at Wood Lake is delightful fun, Rattler Ford Campground is a delightful local campground, and there's perfect hiking along the South Fork Citico Trail.
A brilliant place right next door to Wood Lake is Locust Gap, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Snowbird Creek. flowing water close by, Allmon Branch is a stream you can have a look at during your stay.
This lake is so wonderful. Fires Creek has a tremendous whitewater paddling spot close by. So many exciting things to do in the Great Smoky
Mountains, not enough time. Don't leave Wood Lake without first going for a hike along the CHoga Trail, and at Wood Lake you can make out Brushy Head Mountain. Through the warm months highs here at Wood Lake reach the 80's while night
lows are usually in the 60's. All through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Wood Lake.
Wood Lake generally gets much rainfall; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is October.
