Witherow Lake is a location with many visitors from Winston-Salem. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Dan River, and camping at Moores Springs Campground on the Dan River is always a delightful experience. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous nearby hotel is Econo Lodge King, and you can have a brilliant hiking adventure along the Cascade       Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Big Creek offers some good whitewater, and hiking along the Moores Knob Trail is nice fun. Witherow Lake is a wet site that gets a lot of precipitation; July is when you get the most rain here, and January is when it's the driest. The scenery at Witherow Dam near Witherow Lake is beautiful, and if you need a site to stay Quality Inn & Suites is a perfect choice. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Witherow                  Lake, you'll discover Kiser Lake which is a delightful lake; there's some flowing water close by, Beaverdam Creek is a stream you can go to while here. A great place to camp here at Witherow Lake is Hanging Rock State Park, and going for a hike along the Cooks Wall Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. All through the warm months here at Witherow Lake, high temperatures ordinarily reach the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Witherow Lake plunge into the 20's. This site is unbeatable, just look at all the entertaining things to do close to Witherow Lake. Lakes?
