This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Reynolds Park Golf Course not far from Winston Lake, and if you get bored of Winston Lake you could also stop at close by Myers Pond. After a long day outdoors Myer Lee Motel is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and if you're here you will meet lots of folks from close by Winston-Salem. Float down the rapids of Dan River in a kayak. This lake is so wonderful.       Why not take a refreshing hike along the Cascade Trail; why not stop at nearby Brushy Fork while you're here at Winston Lake. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff at Winston Lake. Stay the night at Tanglewood Family Resort, and there's nice hiking along the Cooks Wall Trail. Piedmont Quarry is a nice site, and paddling on Dan River is so much fun. Winston Lake Dam has perfect water scenery and it's near Winston Lake; the                  Hanging Rock Trail offers hiking at its best. All the water falling down from the sky makes Winston Lake a wet place; March is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is November. If you need a location to stay Comfort Inn is a great choice. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Winston Lake has to offer, you can camp at Humphrey's Ridge Camp. Summer at Winston Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's.
