This lake is so wonderful. A delightful close by hotel is Marriott Winston-Salem, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Winston Lake; Hanging Rock Trail is a pleasant local trail. Brushy Fork flows through this region, and get soaked paddling on Dan River. A perfect place to camp here at Winston Lake is Oak Hollow Campground, and not far from Winston Lake you'll find Pineview       Lake which is a wonderful lake. Just can't get enough of Winston Lake. High temperatures at Winston Lake during the summertime are in the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Winston Lake are in the 20's. For you golfers we recommend nearby Reynolds Park Golf Course, and there are other locations here than Winston Lake, for example Blaylock Lake.                  Winston Lake gets a lot of water; March is when you get the most rain here, and November is when it's the driest. Paddling on Dan River is so much fun; camping at Tanglewood Family Resort is always a splendid experience. You can take a little tour to Winston Lake Dam since you're here at Winston Lake; there's splendid hiking along the Cooks Wall Trail. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Winston Lake. There are plenty of folks from Winston-Salem here at Winston Lake, and Piedmont Quarry is a delightful place any time of year. This lake is so wonderful.
