Go to Wilson Lakes if you want to go to a nice lake. This lake is so wonderful. Clear Creek is in close proximity to Wilson Lakes and is always a bliss to go to, and there's great hiking along the Ellicott Rock Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Wilson Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Van Hook Glade Campground, and lakes are such calm locations, why not take a look at Wilson Lower Reservoir. Just can't get enough of Wilson Lakes.

| | A fine close by hotel is Hampton Inn Highlands; Scaly Mountain has delightful slopes and a friendly staff.
Hit the slopes at Sky Valley close at hand, and do stop at Wilson Lower Dam since you're here. The high level of precipitation makes Wilson Lakes a quite wet spot; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Through the days of summer here at Wilson Lakes, high temperatures usually get into the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into
the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Wilson Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect vista of striking Brown Mountain is available from Wilson Lakes, and in the event that
you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clear Creek. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Highlands Falls Country Club Pool & Tennis is a golf course
right next door to Wilson Lakes; Glen Falls is a fine local attraction. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A fine spot near Wilson Lakes is Sandy Gap; Overflow
Creek has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer.
Whohoo, so much fun stuff in one place! The Blue Ridge Mountains is great! Stay the night at Blue Valley Campground; the Burrells Ford Trail offers hiking at its best.
