For the period of the months of summer here at Willow Pond, high temperatures usually reach the 80's. Summer overnight lows descend down to the 70's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 50's while Willow Pond overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 30's. A tour to Cape Lookout National Seashore is worthwhile. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Willow Pond has       to offer, you can camp at Cedar Creek Campground and Marina. So much amusing stuff to do at Willow Pond, so little time. Spend the day on the beach at Bare Sand Beach while you're here at Willow Pond, and you can go for a hike on the Neusiok Trail. There's so much to do here at Willow Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Driftwood Campground is a brilliant place for that, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Buccaneer Inn is a brilliant site                  to spend a night or two. Willow Pond is a wet place that gets a good deal of precipitation; July is when you get the most rain here; April is when it's the driest. People from Morehead City love to come to Willow Pond, and swing by Sleepy Creek it's a splendid location to go to. This lake is so wonderful.
