A visit to Willis Lake is always a good idea. Willis Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend New River, and swing by Camp Creek it's a perfect place to explore. Very nice water scenery is available at Willis Lake Dam in the vicinity of Willis Lake; nearby you discover the Mountain Trail which is a nice hiking trail. Not enough hours

There's so much to do here at Willis Lake that you need to camp here for a while, New River Canoe and Campground is a magnificent place for that; dry warm beds await you at Master Hosts - Alleghany Inn. The amount of rain that falls at Willis Lake is close to the national average; most of the rain falls all through May; the driest of the months is January. entertaining things the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Willis Lake has to offer, you can camp at New River Canoe Rentals, and there is a delightful hiking trail close by called
the Perkins Knob Trail. Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Willis Lake. While you're here at Willis Lake, you could also stop at stunning Noname, and golf can be played at Olde Beau Golf
Club. The Dogwood Trail is a delightful hiking trail close to Willis Lake, and at Willis Lake you can catch a sight of Fodder Stack. Through the summer months at Willis Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and through summer
nights temperatures are in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's with temperatures at Willis Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Having a splendid time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is trouble-free. Willis
