This lake is located in the wonderful Blue Ridge Mountains. This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Wildwood Mountain Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Van Hook Glade Campground is a great local campground, and dry warm beds await you at Old Edwards Inn and Spa. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on       the Shortoff Mountain Trail, and you can hit the slopes at Scaly Mountain in close proximity. At Wildwood Mountain Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and night lows during the winter for Wildwood Mountain Lake tend to be in the 20's. Don't leave Wildwood Mountain Lake without first going for a hike along the Whiteside                  Mountain National Recreation Trail; The Inn at Half Mile Farm is a brilliant location to get some rest. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more fun things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Wildcat Cliffs is an interesting place to stop at while at Wildwood Mountain Lake; you can run the rapids of Cullasaja River. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Sky Valley, and you'll locate a pretty lake called Ravenel Lake. Just can't get enough of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There's always Wildwood Mountain Dam to pop by close to Wildwood Mountain Lake, and Cowee Gap is a delightful location to go to. Camping at Ammons Branch Campground is always a delightful experience, and since you're here and you like golf, you can stop by Highlands Falls Country Club Pool & Tennis. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Ellicott Rock Trail It's always great to go to Highlands Falls. Wildwood Mountain Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; throughout March this area sees the most rain while October is commonly the driest month. That right there is plenty already, but it keeps on going; Wildwood Mountain Lake has it all. Do take a look at Cold Springs Saddle Club Lake near Wildwood Mountain Lake, it's a scenic lake, and you can catch a sight of Goat Knob from Wildwood Mountain Lake. And that's not all the things you can do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
