You can never get enough of the fine skiing at Sky Valley; Whiteside Lake is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Van Hook Glade Campground is a perfect local campground. These mountains rock, just look at all the cool stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Scaly Mountain since you're here, and you might also want to pay a visit to Cowee Gap while you're here at Whiteside Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water close by, Shortoff Creek is a stream you can go to while you're here, and a striking lake like Hidden Lake is a splendid spot to check out. Man, is there a heap of amusing stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are glorious locations to discover along the Shortoff Mountain Trail, and the top of Goat Knob is easily distinguished from Whiteside Lake.
