The slopes of Scaly Mountain are so inviting nobody can resist, and hey, Gotta ski right? Sky Valley is a great place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid panorama of striking Bryson Knob is available from Whites Lake, and not far from Whites Lake you'll locate Pine Hill Trailer Park Lake which is a lovely lake. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun       stuff in the Blue Ridge Mountains. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn is a delightful place to spend a night or two; Whites Lake Dam is beautiful. Whites Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Whites Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Cullasaja River Campground is a glorious local campground; if you're here you can play some golf at Franklin Golf Course. Get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Cullasaja                  River, and close by you discover Porter Cove which is a wonderful place to explore. This lake is so wonderful. On a great day at Whites Lake you can take a hike along the Shortoff Mountain Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Franklin. That right there is loads of amusing stuff already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. Going for a hike on the Stewart Trail is always a fine adventure, and a quick visit to Ammons Branch is without doubt a great idea. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll have a thing about Whites Lake. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. There's so much to do here at Whites Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Fort Cannon Campground is a fine site for that; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Gage Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Whites Lake a wet place; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest month is October. Throughout the days of summer highs here at Whites Lake get into the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
