Whites Lake is a wet place that gets a great deal of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is March, and the driest of the months is October. These mountains rock, just check out all the amusing things to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Sky Valley. | | brilliant place for that. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Franklin-Days Inn is a pleasant place to spend a night or two, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Stewart Trail.
You truly have to have a thing about the Blue Ridge Mountains. You don’t have to go far from Whites Lake to see the water at Whites Lake Dam; hiking along the Shortoff Mountain Trail is perfect fun. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue | |

Ridge Mountains. Franklin Golf Course is a good golf course nearby, and you can never get enough of the delightful skiing at Scaly Mountain.
If you come at the right time of year, Cullasaja River offers some tremendous whitewater;
you can stay the night at Fort Cannon Campground. Yep, outdoors entertaining things to do are really bountiful here at Whites Lake. From Whites Lake you obtain a great vista of Bryson Knob; you can have a tremendous hiking adventure
along the Gage Trail. Getting to Ammons Branch from Whites Lake is simple.
This lake is so wonderful. Comfort Inn Franklin is a brilliant place to get some rest, and Porter Cove is a delightful spot to spend some time. For the
period of the summer months highs here at Whites Lake reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are mostly in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Whites Lake.
