This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Holly Bluff Family Campground is a fine place to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Country Hearth Inn Thomasville. Why not camp at Oak Hollow Campground while you're here at Wheatmore Pond, and golf can be played at Winding Creek Golf Course. Deep River is a great whitewater spot near Wheatmore Pond, and the scenery at Wheatmore Farm Lake Dam is beautiful.       Going for a hike on the Birkhead Trail is always a great adventure; there are plenty of people from Lexington-Thomasville here at Wheatmore Pond. At Wheatmore Pond during the summer highs are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Wheatmore Pond. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a delightful time here at Wheatmore Pond.
