Westerly Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Austin Branch is next to Westerly Lake and is always a pleasure to stop at, and if you're here and you like golf, you can pop by Municipal Golf Course. If you need a place to stay Hampton Inn Asheville-I-26 Biltmore       Square is a brilliant choice; going for a hike on the Side Hill Trail is always a pleasant adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are nice; Dellwood Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Westerly Lake; you can go for a hike on the Shut-In Trail. If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the area right next door to Westerly Lake has to offer. Dry warm                  beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Asheville-Biltmore Square Mall, and if you came to camp R V Park & Campground is a great location to do that. That right there is loads of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Blue Ridge Mountains has it all. Not far from Westerly Lake, you'll stumble on Long Valley Lake which is a charming lake, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Swannanoa River. At Westerly Lake throughout the long summer days highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows dip down to the 60's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's while Westerly Lake night low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 20's. There's so much to do here at Westerly Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bear Creek RV Park and Campground is a wonderful site for that, and Wolf Laurel is a glorious local ski area. And that's not all you can do here at Westerly Lake. French Broad River is a perfect whitewater spot close to Westerly Lake, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Ski Beech is rather near. Westerly Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls through July while October is ordinarily the driest month. During your visit to Westerly Lake you'll meet some folks from Asheville for sure; don't leave Westerly Lake without first going for a hike along the Laurel Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
